Description:
The Business of Music course is designed to
give students an understanding of recording
contracts, publishing, song writing, copyright
law, performing rights societies (BMI, ASCAP),
artist management, record companies (major/indie),
record production and music multimedia delivery
mediums.

Objectives:
Record
company operations including locating talent,
negotiating contracts, producing records, and
marketing strategies for the final product.

law with regard to music and recordings

contracts
-Concert and touring promotion
Prerequisites: AUD101,
AUD102, AUD201. We recommend taking BOM101
and either AUD301 or AUD401 concurrently
to complete the Recording Arts Program in
a timely fashion.
