Belinda Reyes Swafford
July 21, 1967 - April 10, 2007

Belinda attended the Art Institute of Dallas and received an Associate of Applied Arts degree in 1990. She then began career as an audio/microphone technician with Showco Inc. of Dallas, Texas that lasted for 12 years. While at Showco, Belinda was responsible for the preparation and maintenance of the Prism sound systems used by such international recording artists as Eric Clapton, Rolling Stones, Sade, James Taylor, Santana, George Strait, Willie Nelson, Reba McEntire, Korn, Limp Bizkit, N’Sync and various others. She was also part of the research and development team at Showco, which produced the Showconsole audio control desk, a memory managed console that is easy to learn and use. After the sale of Showco to Clair Brothers Audio in Pennsylvania, Belinda began working at the Dallas Sound Lab in July 2001. She was both an admissions director and audio technician for the studio and school. Her experience in the audio industry proved most beneficial to our students.
